The default export file (IIF) for quickbooks doesnt work when imported to quickbooks as it appears to assume its own names for quickbook accounts, inventory items etc
which obviously wont be the same as the ones that the user has setup in quickbooks
Anyone know which data fields need to be altered for them to match.

Thanks

Since the QB user can use any name for their accounts, Avactis has no way of knowing what those are unless you tell it. Did you fill out the Quickbooks Settings page before you exported? The online manual has a short description of the options for that page.

It now imports - I had to leave the vat name setting blank otherwise it tries to redefine the vat account which is already setup in quickbooks

However its not mapping to the correct inventory items as avactis items have product IDs and my quickbooks items have product names

Any suggestions?

Also as transactions are defined invoices you have then to manually go through them all in quickbooks and individually receive the payments
- bit of a pain they would have been better defining then as sales receipts (CASH SALE) and letting us define a bank account in the settings.

TRNS CASH SALE 08/15/2011 paypal <- bank account to be defined in settings
SPL CASH SALE 08/15/2011 sales
SPL CASH SALE 08/15/2011 sales
SPL CASH SALE 08/15/2011 sales
SPL CASH SALE 08/15/2011

avactis please read this
